Jewelcrafting to be nerfed in 3.2 content patch

On Friday blizzard announced an upcoming nerf to the Jewelcrafting Profession. There won’t be any prismatic gems anymore then, in order to balance the Jewelcrafting and make it on par with other professions. Let’s hope they finally fix engineering too, which i doubt somehow…

Original quote:

In the next major content patch we will be removing the prismatic quality of the jewelcrafter-only Dragon’s Eye gems. Like other gems, they will have to match the socket color to receive a socket bonus. When this change occurs, players with qualifying jewelcrafting skill will be provided a yet to be determined amount of Dalaran Jewelecrafter Tokens as compensation.

Dugis Ultimate World of Warcraft Daily GuideSo if you only had Jewelcrafting for the Prismatic gems, maybe it’s time for you to start leveling another profession which fits more your class (like Tailoring/Leatherworking)

Jewelcrafting is a new profession that has everyone very excited, especially when it comes to the Burning Crusade expansion. Looking at this profession as a way to really get your character ahead in the game, you will find that there several things you need to keep in mind.
