Gonna Go When the Volcano Blows/Heroic: Gonna Go When the Volcano Blows is one of the very tricky achievements! It’s very much luck depended (although skills play an important role too), as the Meteoroids are quite random and very fast, so it’s hard to dodge them.
There are a few important facts
- The lava wall is not the objective of this achievement, it's the fire meteors that come down from the sky
- It's an individual achievement, that means if someone else fails you can still get it (unlike Immortal)
- You don’t have to be alive at the end of the fight, you only need to have tagged Sartharion
The fair way
It is possible to dodge the meteors, however you need to be very quickly AND lucky. The meteors are pretty fast and sometimes there falling 2-3 of them very close so that dodging is very hard.
You can also try to stay inside the lava most of the time (if you get heal), but it’s quite complicated.
The dirty way
The dirty way is to simply tag Sartharion (hit him at least once) and die (either by agro, lava or inside the portals) and wait until the boss is down. Basically you could do this within a few weeks. In an 25-man raid, let 10-15 people die and the remaining kill the boss. Next time, the others die and the ones who completed the achievement kill the boss.
